Presence of Absence moves from daunting and looming to sad and lonely as it follows these altered “loud but quiet” photographs “to the moment after the music stops.” What lies just beyond the frame of the window or on the other side of a creaking footstep?

This work, and the companion thesis pieces, follows light and dark, quiet and loud, the ironic untold story of the Greek God of Silence, and the daunting presence behind waiting for the phone to ring.
